Published this year, Spirit Wolf takes the shape of survivalist defiance that sees a tribe of humans so very near to elimination and forced to consider relinquishing both their natural habitat as well as their lives at the frontier of a threat. But with the belief of indigenous lupin lore in the minds of a race who race towards a final lifeline, grief, love, brutality, struggle, humanhood and preservation reconcile a triumph of the human spirit in times of near-demise. Accosted by an establishing desire to unlock the fun, silly and affectionately doltish, Michael Skyner found within himself a passion to play within the sandbox of risible verse. As a writer who stayed the course in his earliest years through a struggle with dyslexia, Michael persisted through and developed an affection for nonsensical expression. Whether it be his poetry or other works of fiction and fantasy, discovering the ease of release associated with his inner child has been a wonderful adventure. An adventure he plans to continue tenaciously. To find out more about Spirit Wolf and Michael's journey through it and outside of it, I'm so pleased to have an author interview at the ready! As a story of survivance and subsistence, bound the belief of the bygone with greater forces of existence in play, Michael yet again creates an adventure, a feat, a trial and a human endeavour for young readers.
