Vaishali (V.L. Book Reviews): Walk us through your debut, ‘Lines by Leon’ - Was it a consistent, resolute effort at writing a book or was this a project gradually put together?
V: Poetry or prose, if you had to choose?
V: When did you start writing?
V: What makes a poem accessible? What gives rise to the well-fare of poetry?
V: Do you cater to an audience or does your writing service a wholly individual purpose?
V: Are you in touch with the writing community - how has this helped you?
V: ‘Lines by Leon’ is an eclectic mix of poetry and thoughtful, personal reflection. The ideas are straightforward with an understandable simplicity. Do you agree that all poetry should be straightforward?
V: In this day and age, self-publishing is the encouraging route that many authors are taking, and as such the indie variety promises an individual taste that you may not always get with larger presses. Why did you choose to self-publish ‘Lines by Leon’ - was it a conscious choice?
V: Self publishing, though a source of literary liberation in some ways, can be an arduous road. What are the problems you’ve come across through self-publishing and equally what do you appreciate about this publishing choice?

V: To you, what contributes to a successful body of work, or even the success of a singular poem?
V: Is there anything, aside from scribbling ideas that helps with writing?
V: In the literary sense, what lights a fire under you?
V: Name some of your favourite books and why they hold a memorable place in your mind and practice?
V: What do you say to those who believe in the age-old impression that creatives should suffer for their art?
V: What is the literary holy grail for you? What is the end goal?
V: One priceless piece of writing advice that you have received.
V: Name a dream of yours - writing or otherwise…
V: If you could do anything for the rest of your life, without the need for money or any luxury, what would it be?
